Welcome to the website the Comedor Infantil, Community Las Palmas

The purpose of this site is to inform through  the web, this project of love that was born at Pentecost in 2009. El Comedor Infantil, is a team effort of people committed to service to others whose main objective is to feed the children of the Community Las Palmas.
 A long dream was just that, "a dream" for the Father Dean Brackley, SJ . But, today more than 2 ½ years to feed the children, we say Father Dean Mission accomplished, thanks for teaching the compassionate love that Jesus taught us in his gospel and that all true Christians together as we have managed to provide a meal for kids every Saturday at 5 pm at Casa Cultural, of the Community Las Palmas.  

 Thank you, Father Dean for their support, for your trust and for all that has given the Christian community of the Holy Family Church.

What do we need?

We need all the support that people are willing to provide to continue feeding children in our community and thus ensure the medium and long term sustainability of the Kids dining. Any donation of groceries as sugar, rice, beans, pasta, oil, broth, tomato paste, is very useful. so we invite you to join this project of love and we practice together the mutual love that Jesus teaches us in his gospel.

FAQ

How I can help the Children's Dining?

there are many ways in which can help this proyect of love, you can do it economically, with groceries and offering your help for the tasks of cooking, cleaning, washing dishes,  serving food to children, etc.

i can put my labor to the childrens dining ?

 of course, you are welcome to the team of volunteers who make possible the childrens dining. you can come on Saturdays at the Cultural House Las Palmas, from 2:30 to do cleaning, cooking and having everything ready for when the children come. or you can get at 5 pm which is when children come to eat and help us serve the food and then leave the place clean.

A great project, great team

As is known the Comedor Infantil was opening for the Catechists. In the course of time thanks to God, Marriage Encounter joined this ministry giving great support to benefit the children of the community Las Palmas, and after serving 2 years to bring food, we want to have more El Comedor Infantil presence of all the church groups, so invite and motivate that in future all members of the Church are part of this expression of love in solidarity with children.

 As catechists, we are extremely proud and pleased with the work being done in that time has not been easy and there are always problems, but we want this year better than the previous year in every respect and trust in God our Lord continue shedding many blessings to all the people who make this ministry and there will be more doors to ensure the long term El Comedor Infantil, to continue feeding more children in the community of Las Palmas
